Blessed by Wat Chon Won, Thailand. Dharma offering from Luang Por Tian. Medicine Buddha (Gilded Casing)

Year 2005. Blessed by Wat Chon Won, Thailand Luang Por Tian (B.E. 2480 ~ 2554. Aged 74) Luang Por Tian gifted this Medicine Buddha as a Dharma offering. This particular Medicine Buddha was originally offered to Luang Por Tian by a high-ranking Thai official. The official had offered 2 statues at the time, numbered 111 and 999. My Thai friend and I each donated over one hundred thousand Thai Baht. Luang Por Tian then gifted these to us as Dharma offerings. I received the statue numbered 111. My Thai friend received the one numbered 999. It is now encased in a thick, double-twisted rope bezel gilded casing, valued at approximately 30,000 Baht. Dimensions: Height 6.32 cm, Width 3.66 cm, Thickness 2.02 cm. ********************************* Regarding this Medicine Buddha. The specific temple of origin and its history could not be traced. However, the craftsmanship is exquisite, and the materials are beautiful. It is unlike the Medicine Buddha statues commonly found in other temples.
