English bone china teacup and saucer from Violetta series made by Royal Albert

Vintage English bone china Victoria-style teacup and saucer the from the Violetta series made by Royal Albert. Thomas C. Wild bought the Albert Works in Longton, Stoke on Trent in 1895. This factory had been named after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's Consort. It specialised in tea, breakfast and dessert pieces with floral designs, and it soon gained a reputation of producing beautiful china tea & breakfast sets, firmly establishing the Royal Albert name. This series was in production from 1970s to the 1980s, and based on the mark this set was made in the 1970s. This set is in undamaged, fairly good condition with significant wear on the gold rim of the cup but little wear on the print. The saucer has some slight surface marks on the glaze and a gold rim that is in good quite state.
