Through numerous rounds of lacquering, sanding, and polishing, the feel is exceptionally substantial. Under the high-definition, high-gloss transparent lacquer, the texture is further enhanced. The high-definition, high-gloss finish is easy to maintain, resistant to ink or hand sweat, and makes the wood grain appear more three-dimensional. Most products on the market are simply polished or waxed raw wood; this kind of meticulous processing is rare (briarwood features unique knots and natural grain patterns; quality items shipped randomly). The fountain pen is complemented by gunmetal gray electroplated clips and metal fittings.
