∎ What is a deadstock material?
Deadstock fabrics are leftover fabrics with no plans for present or future use.
They often exist from:
1. leftovers from overproduction,
2. trials from textile development,
3. minor imperfections from production.
We choose to work 100% with locally sourced deadstock fabric and reclaimed textiles, knowing that it can help reduce waste from the excessiveness of the fashion industry. Whenever we source, we filter and choose ones in good condition, soft for the skin, relevant to the season, and containing as much natural fibre as possible. Occasionally, when we find imperfections in our deadstock fabrics, we mend and strengthen them with traditional techniques such as embroidery, patching, Japanese boro, and more.
