Volume: 15ml Paper Used for Swatching: Tomoe River Paper It's hard to classify this as grey or purple; the lighter areas lean towards brown, while the darker tones shift to purple. The color separation is remarkably distinct. Occasionally, a reflective black sheen appears at the edges. ******************* Sheen is the metallic reflection that forms when the ink dries. Shading refers to the variation in ink density during writing. Chromatography describes the multi-colored gradient after the ink is applied. All ink effects are inherent and appear without external force, dilution, or manipulation. Ink Precautions: This ink is handmade, crafted from scratch using imported cosmetic-grade dyes from the UK. Please understand the characteristics of handmade inks; they differ from commercially available branded inks. Even if replicated, the colors may not be perfectly reproduced. As the preservatives and other additives in handmade inks cannot match commercial specifications, and the ingredients are relatively natural, it is best to avoid directly drawing ink into fountain pens or using dip pens whenever possible to prevent contamination and mold. Please note that unboiled tap water contains various invisible bacteria. While generally harmless, it can lead to quality degradation over time. If using a dip pen, please dry it thoroughly after washing, or use distilled or boiled water as your rinse solution. ----------------------------- All inks undergo the following testing: Settling → Filtering → Filling into an F-nib fountain pen → Settling for one month The images have been adjusted to minimize paper color influence, but ink colors may vary due to screen display, photography techniques, paper type, and pen nib width. Returns or exchanges due to color discrepancies are not accepted. ------------------------------ This ink contains shimmer. My handmade inks use pearl powder of 800 mesh or finer. The shimmer may not be as intense as other handmade inks emphasizing glitter. Fountain pens with F nibs or broader can be used for temporary filling. However, please refrain from using them in high-value fountain pens. All inks are made without binders. If you desire a thicker consistency for easier use with dip pens, you can purchase Gum Arabic powder from the add-on section. It is common knowledge that shimmer is not recommended for fountain pens due to clogging risks. If the ink is left unused for extended periods, please clean the pen thoroughly to prevent blockages. If you wish to use shimmer ink in a fountain pen but want to avoid the shimmer, do not shake the bottle. Simply draw the ink from the top layer. Once the ink dries, the shimmer may rub off when touched. For preservation, it is recommended to apply a clear art sealant spray to your work. My handmade inks are not meant to be mixed with each other, as this may cause settling. ----------------------------- The fragrances used in the inks are food-grade flavorings.
