Crafted by hand from leather layers approximately 7mm thick. The material boasts excellent absorbency. By adhering only the outer edges of the leather, the structure is designed to absorb moisture smoothly and efficiently. This results in a soft, yielding texture when pressed in the center. However, they are prone to water stains. Typically, wipe gently with a well-wrung cloth. As we prefer to avoid a sticky feel, no maintenance oils are applied. For large, noticeable stains, we recommend soaking the coaster in water overnight and then air-drying it in the shade. Mold is a significant concern. After absorbing a substantial amount of water from condensation from cold drinks, ensure they are thoroughly dried for 2-3 days, aiming for a weight of approximately 40 grams. It is a premium cowhide, utilizing full vegetable tanning with tannins extracted from mimosa tree bark, without the use of harmful chemicals. This tanning process, passed down since the company's founding in 1937, involves 20 meticulous steps.
