<Unique beauty that brings you happiness, one of a kind in the world>
In the past, when people living in Watari, Miyagi Prefecture, gave gifts, they would place them in a "bag" made from scraps of old kimonos. For example, it might have been a 1.8-liter bottle of rice given as a celebration or a thank you gift. It had no set name and was called "fukuro" (bag), which was slurred into "fuguro."
"FUGURO" is a reimagining and remake of this old custom. The material is kimono fabric with auspicious patterns, carefully selected from thousands of kimonos slumbering in dressers. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted with the sincere wish for the recipient's happiness woven into its stitches.
We deliver a unique beauty that brings you happiness, a graceful return gift culture for wrapping and presenting precious items, with gratitude sewn into every product.
Two colors of thread are used to match the colors of the outer and lining fabrics. Please enjoy the beautiful stitching that is pleasing to the eye.

* Please be aware that colors and textures may appear different in the actual product compared to the on-screen photos. If you have any concerns, please contact us or refrain from purchasing.
* As the kimono fabric used is often used and its material is not always specified, we may not be able to identify the exact material. Furthermore, the items are remade after thorough inspection and processing such as washing. Please handle with care as some fabrics may fade or shrink when wet.
