Silver has the property of reacting with sulfur in the air to form a film on its surface, and when the film is formed to the point where it no longer transmits light, it appears black to the human eye. In this "Smoked Series," you can enjoy the color that appears as the film slowly grows and the color and depth of fully matured smoked silver. This sulfurization of silver gives it a unique dull glow and a long maturation time, which gives it the name "Ibushigin," an idiom used to describe someone who is not flashy but has depth, refinement, and true talent, and it is a term that is deeply rooted in everyday life as a Japanese expression of virtue.
