Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a highly favored material for jewelry due to its affordability and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass is prone to oxidation. Exposure to moisture, sweat, and air can deepen its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, here are some tips to prevent it: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable bag when not wearing. If the luster diminishes, a few simple methods can restore your item's original shine. Please note that while color can be revived if scratched, the original polish may not be fully restored (the matte, antique bronze look is also beautiful!). ♦ Gently scrub with a toothbrush dipped in foaming toothpaste or tooth powder, similar to brushing teeth. This can restore brass's luster. Ensure to dry thoroughly after cleaning. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth for a quick shine (not applicable to brushed finishes). ♦ Dilute lemon juice, immerse the brass accessory for about 5 minutes, and it will quickly regain its shine (not suitable for acid-sensitive natural stones like pearls).
