On a tranquil summer night, under the gentle ripple of moonlight and a soft, cool breeze caressing the land, the distant woods hum with the sounds of insects and birds. Fireflies dance with their dots of emerald light, akin to stars flowing across the night sky. This natural tableau served as the inspiration for "Midnight Emerald Glow." The deep luster of obsidian, vast and mysterious like the boundless night sky, provides a sense of stability. The gradient hues of Indian Moss Agate, shifting subtly between dark green, light green, pale violet, and beige, mirror the gentle glow of fireflies, delicately rendering nature's most subtle color transitions. Their plump, rounded tones carry a warm vitality, evoking the image of fireflies fluttering gracefully. The accents of silver-toned zinc alloy are like starlight in the night sky. Each element whispers tales of the summer night: the cool breeze, the symphony of insects and birds, and a mood woven from contentment and reflection—a reflection on the beauty and fragility of nature, as the fireflies' habitats gradually diminish with human expansion. --- Metal Care: 1. Avoid Contact with Water and Sweat: Metal oxidizes easily when exposed to water. It is recommended to remove jewelry before washing hands, swimming, or exercising to prevent sweat and moisture from accelerating discoloration. 2. Keep Away from Chemicals: Chemicals found in cosmetics, perfumes, and cleaning agents can damage the surface of jewelry. It is advisable to put on jewelry after applying makeup to avoid direct contact with these substances. 3. Prevent Collisions and Friction: Collisions and friction can cause surface scratches. Try to avoid rubbing jewelry against hard objects or dropping it. 4. Store Separately: When storing jewelry, it is best to keep it in a sealed bag or anti-oxidation pouch, separated from other metal items, to prevent friction and oxidation. 5. Polishing and Maintenance: Silver jewelry can be polished with a silver polishing cloth. Other metal accessories can be wiped with a standard eyeglass cloth. Please note that using a silver polishing cloth on non-silver items may cause a chemical reaction. --- Metal Testing and Usage Conditions: Self-conducted experiments tested the performance of metals in various environments (sulfuric hot springs, high salt, scratching, hydrochloric acid), with the following results: ◇ Brass: With natural use, it will gradually deepen in color, presenting an antique style. One metal, two experiences. High-salt environments may generate yellowish-brown copper oxide. ◇ Alloy (surface: brass/zinc/stainless steel/silver, internal: red copper/brass): Please be aware if you have copper allergies! Experiments show that high-salt or high-acid environments accelerate oxidation, causing darkening or verdigris. ◇ S925 Silver: Will turn black in sulfurous environments, become misty in high-salt environments (can be wiped with a silver polishing cloth), and turn red or misty in hydrochloric acid. ◇ 304 Stainless Steel: Very stable in general environments. May develop pitting in contact with hydrochloric acid (greenish-brown oxide). Once the outer layer is compromised, exposure to high-salt environments will generate yellowish-brown oxides. ◇ Zinc Alloy: Very stable in general environments, but may develop cracks in highly acidic conditions (such as hydrochloric acid). Changes will begin from these cracks, leading to metal embrittlement. ◇ 14K Gold Filled (Plated): The core is typically brass, with a relatively thick gold layer plated on the outside. Under normal use, it can last for 5-10 years. Avoid contact with chemicals when wearing. If the outer layer is scratched, exposing the brass, oxidation may occur; in the experimental environments described above, the outer layer remained very stable.
