**Introduction** This pen is crafted from microrhonus, a wood with a high oil content and strong transverse structure. Working with this material requires careful attention to its grain direction to prevent cracking. This piece, however, was entirely hand-carved, avoiding lathe work or sanding. The wood used for this pen is known as "fallen cabinet wood." This occurs when a tree, due to natural disasters or other reasons, is buried in the earth for years or even decades. Its inherent resilience allows it to survive without decaying, resulting in a striking contrast between its red and black sections—a rare characteristic in wood. Given the wood's natural density, the pen cap is intentionally designed to stand upright, allowing it to rest at an angle on your desk, adding a unique visual element. Every handmade pen possesses a unique character.
