Vegetable-Tanned Cowhide is a leather that evolves beautifully over time. Vegetable tanning is one of the oldest tanning methods, using tanning agents derived from plant-based tannins. This process involves repeatedly immersing the hide in tanning solutions of varying concentrations, taking one to two months to complete. Vegetable-tanned leather is free from harmful heavy metals and other chemicals, making it safe for direct skin contact. It also preserves the natural grain of the leather.
