This is from a Chinese poem "Lily Magnolia Ci", written by a Chinese Poet Nàlán Xìngdé.
It translated as "If life were only just like when we two met the first time".
It means during the process of knowing each other, often turned into something unexpected and perhaps even disappointing. The best time somehow might be the first acquaintance, first impression, with nothing deeper than the first sight.
The poem carry a sense of pity of what life is all about, but also reminding us to cherish what we have right at the moment - Live at the moment and cherish each other.
