Paired with classic forms, comfortable wooden handles, and delicate glazing techniques, we aspire to integrate the elegant celadon aesthetics, imbued with scholarly sentiment, into everyday ceramics. ................... | About Each Piece | All ceramics from Fu Chang Kiln are handcrafted, and minor variations in detail are inevitable for each piece. During the kiln firing process, unexpected elements such as kiln dust or iron spots may form unique patterns. These become distinctive marks, making each piece one-of-a-kind. We will provide photographs for your confirmation before shipping. ................. | About Fu Chang Kiln's Craquelure | We pursue simplicity, and thus intentionally create a single layer of craquelure. Visually, after seasoning, it develops fine cracks resembling the shell of a tea egg. These patterns form as the piece cools after firing and can evolve. They are not fixed. Before seasoning, you can use your phone's flashlight to view the general direction of the cracks. These cracks do not affect the functionality of the ware. With use, the tea's color will seep into the cracks, creating "iron wire" (black), "eel blood" (ochre), or "gold thread" (tea-colored) patterns. This dynamic appearance imbues each piece with vitality. ................. | Precautions | - Fu Chang Kiln ceramics are fired at high temperatures of 1240°C and can be safely cleaned with a scrub sponge or in a dishwasher. (Products with wooden handles are an exception; wooden components must be kept dry.) - Ceramic pieces made of a single material can be used in ovens or electric steamers for heating. - Ceramics are fragile items. They are carefully packaged before shipping. If damage occurs during transit, please notify us within 3 days of receipt for further processing. - Colors in photographs may differ slightly from the actual product due to lighting, angles, and display variations. Please refer to the actual product. - Wooden trays are shipped randomly. They showcase the natural color of the wood without artificial coloring. If you have specific preferences (e.g., darker or lighter tones), please inform us in advance, and we will do our best to find a suitable match. - Each piece is handcrafted, not mass-produced in a factory, making every item unique. - Teapot handles are installed randomly from 5 styles shown in the accompanying image. Style 5, entirely handcrafted by the artisan, incurs an additional charge of NT$300. The remaining styles are designed by us and produced by a factory without extra charge. - The simple teapot lid is at the artisan's discretion; some may be fully glazed, while others may have partial unglazed areas.
