Crafting Process The creation of our ceramic incense holders begins with carefully kneading the clay to achieve a uniform texture, followed by portioning the clay according to the required weight. It is then shaped and its height adjusted before undergoing approximately three hours of natural air drying. After drying, artisans hand-paint the pieces using natural mineral pigments, applying 4 to 5 layers repeatedly to achieve the desired rich color saturation. They are then fired in a kiln, allowing the colors to meld with the clay. The final, crucial step involves a traditional smoking technique using mango leaves, returning them to the kiln for another two hours. This imparts a unique hue and aroma to the pottery, serving as a tribute to nature and tradition.
