**◈ A Word from the Designer**
**Azurite**, a precious gemstone of **antique grade**, often coexists with malachite, turquoise, lapis lazuli, cuprite, and other minerals. Its diverse mineral colors and free-flowing, vibrant textures have earned it the beautiful name of **Phoenix Stone**.
Azurite, coexisting with various minerals, is naturally prone to **mineral inclusions**, making specimens that are fully vitrified or agatized extremely rare.
The designer has meticulously selected two other precious gemstones of antique grade – **Ruby and Spinel** – to complement it.
The large teardrop pendant is hand-ground from **Azurite**, its delicate **indigo and crimson** veins spread like a canvas, recording the textures nurtured by Mother Earth over eons.
Echoing the crimson veins of the azurite, **Rubies and colorful Spinels (purple, grey)** are paired to harmonize with the azurite.
The **Rubies** are unheated, with a purplish-red hue that flashes with starlight, while the **Spinels** are clear and lustrous. The overall **Morandi color palette** is elegant and understated, exuding a subtle sophistication, together interpreting the energy and beautiful textures of antique-grade gemstones.
**This is a unique piece, awaiting its fortunate and wise owner.**
**Azurite**
Azurite, also known as Lapis Lazuli, is a copper-bearing mineral with a deep or light blue color and a vitreous luster. However, due to its relatively low hardness of 3.5-4, it has rarely been used as a gemstone since ancient times. Instead, it was often ground into powder for pigments, or used as decorative material for building interiors and furniture inlay.
Blue gemstones are inherently rare in nature. Thus, the blue of azurite is not only rare and beautiful, but its name in various languages reflects its blue hue (Greek: kuanos, Latin: caeruleum, English: azurite).
Azurite is found in the oxidized zones of copper sulfide deposits and often coexists with other copper-bearing minerals (such as malachite, cuprite, native copper, etc.).
Azurite is not suitable for sun purification methods, as its color can easily fade with sun exposure. Due to its metallic content, it is also not suitable for sea salt purification.
**Chrysocolla (Phoenix Stone)**
Chrysocolla (also known as Phoenix Stone) is not a typical malachite. It is a gemstone whose primary component is malachite, coexisting with various other minerals.
The English name Chrysocolla comes from the Greek words for "gold" and "glue," as its crystalline form closely resembles a substance used for soldering gold.
Chrysocolla is found in the oxidized zones of copper deposits and often coexists with malachite, azurite, cuprite, native copper, jade, quartz, and turquoise. Therefore, its crystals are typically found in aggregate form, without cleavage, and thus have a relatively low hardness.
Due to its coexistence with multiple minerals, chrysocolla crystals exhibit beautiful green, blue, red, and black colors. Specimens with uniform color and large size, or those with unique and beautiful color distribution and fine silicification, are highly prized by collectors.
Chrysocolla corresponds to the throat and heart chakras. Its colors resemble the natural forests, oceans, and lakes of the Earth, thus possessing an energy that connects with the Earth, allowing it to receive messages from both the Earth and the universe.
**Ruby**
Ruby, its name derived from the Latin word "Ruber," meaning red.
In Sanskrit, rubies are referred to as the "King of Gems" and the "Leader of Gems." Because of their fiery red hue, Indians believed rubies to be an inextinguishable fire.
Rubies have very high hardness, but their crystals are small and often contain fissures. They tend to coexist with green zoisite and black tourmaline. Therefore, large rubies often exhibit red, green, and black together. Rubies coexisting with green zoisite are also commonly known as "ruby-zoisite."
**Spinel**
Spinel (meaning a crystal with pointed angles) has a hardness similar to corundum (which is why early red and blue spinels were mistaken for rubies and sapphires). It does not require special care and is very suitable for daily wear. Due to its high hardness, when cut and polished, it exhibits a very brilliant luster.
Spinel comes in a rich variety of colors. High-quality spinels often have excellent clarity, not only possessing basic gemstone colors but also exhibiting dazzling fire. The brilliance of black spinel can even rival that of black diamonds.
**◈ Carefully Selected Materials, Meticulously Inspected**
Materials: Natural Azurite, Ruby, Spinel, 18K Gold, 925 Silver
Dimensions: Azurite teardrop approximately 29-33mm in height. Overall length including ear hook approximately 7.7cm. **Due to the significant weight of the gemstones, clip-on conversion is not recommended ^^.**
**◈ Awaiting Your Unique Encounter**
We guarantee that this is a one-of-a-kind piece, not mass-produced.
If replication or mass production is required, you, with your discerning taste, will surely understand that due to the purely handmade craftsmanship, each piece cannot be 100% identical. However, we will strive to maintain a consistent style and ask for your patience as we craft each masterpiece.
**◈ On Care and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess their own unique luster and textures (tiny black spots, stone lines, internal fractures, cloudiness, mineral inclusions, asymmetry, and other natural details). As you wear them frequently, you will observe subtle color changes in the natural gemstones, which will typically make them appear more translucent and captivating – this is the best form of care.
Natural organic gemstones (such as coral and amber) have low hardness and are sensitive to acids and alkalis. When they become dirty, avoid washing them with detergents. Simply rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. You can also use a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (such as baby oil) for gentle polishing and care.
2. Metal jewelry has a very long lifespan. Avoid external damage or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
3. Fabric materials (ribbons, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable to the touch and have a long lifespan. Avoid high temperatures, external damage, or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
4. For jewelry of any material, when it becomes dirty, wipe it with a soft cloth dampened with clean water as appropriate, or use a suitable amount of neutral detergent for suitable materials. After washing, keep it dry as soon as possible.
5. When jewelry is removed, it should be properly packaged and stored to minimize exposure to excess air, which can slow down oxidation and discoloration. Avoid stacking or pressing.
