Thank you for your understanding. The Nine-Wheeled Tower, also known as Haworthia cooperi or Frost Lily, is a succulent native to southwestern Africa. It thrives in sunlight and is not suited for shade, being relatively drought-tolerant. Its appearance is reminiscent of a tower, a type of evergreen plant with a columnar shape. In its usual state, its color is green or yellow, but it develops color variations when exposed to direct sunlight. Due to its subtly elegant and pure leaf color, it doesn't require intense direct sunlight compared to other succulent varieties. | Light | As a sun-loving succulent, the Nine-Wheeled Tower requires ample sunlight during cultivation. It can tolerate full sun exposure in spring, autumn, and winter. However, it is not tolerant of high temperatures and extreme heat, so it needs some shade during hot summers and requires good ventilation. | Temperature Regulation | The Nine-Wheeled Tower is not cold-hardy. Spring and autumn are its peak growing seasons. Overwintering temperatures should not drop below 5°C, as low temperatures can easily cause frost damage or even death. The optimal growing temperature is between 10°C and 20°C. Therefore, while allowing it to bask in the sun on very sunny days, it should be shaded. In winter, when temperatures are very low, it should be moved indoors to maintain warmth while still receiving sufficient sunlight for growth. | Soil Selection | The Nine-Wheeled Tower is not demanding regarding soil type, thriving in well-draining, humus-rich sandy loam. | Fertilization | This plant is a heavy feeder. In addition to regular fertilizing, you can supplement with two to three additional applications of flower fertilizer annually. However, avoid fertilizing during periods of slow growth or dormancy, as excessive nutrients can overwhelm the plant and halt its growth. | Watering Method | Like other succulents, it is quite drought-tolerant. Wait until the soil is completely dry after the previous watering before watering again. | Propagation | The most common method for propagating the Nine-Wheeled Tower is through cuttings. Cuttings are taken from the small lateral shoots that grow from the leaf axils or stem base. Select healthy, disease-free lateral or apical shoots from a mature plant. Swiftly cut them with a knife, keeping as many leaves as possible. Allow the cut surface to dry and heal completely before planting.
