When cutting leather, even the finest pieces yield some scraps.
Many of these natural leather edges have a beautiful character. I collected some, initially intending to create collages. However, needing a bookmark for my reading sessions, I decided to cut them into the shapes they desired and transform them into leather bookmarks.
With a bit of cutting, shaping, and weaving, they're ready to mark the page you wish to pause on.
