We didn't expect the second design series to take so long. The life of this "slashie" mother and son has been enriched by Comme moi socks, creating more beautiful connections between us. This design truly solidifies the division of labor: Nello designs, Gail finalizes. Nello meticulously participated in every step, from the initial sketch, revisions, color selection, to reviewing samples and finalizing the design. Gail genuinely transitioned from designer to assistant. For Nello & Gail, each pair of socks tells the story of a phase in our lives. The origin is quite simple: Gail, a Taiwanese illustrator and designer living in Paris, and Nello, a mischievous little boy brimming with boundless imagination. After having a son, I, who never cared for matching outfits, found myself wanting to find similar connections with my son. It was difficult to find parent-child socks that were fun yet not overly dramatic or flashy. So, I decided, why not create our own parent-child socks inspired by our imagination? We established our own parent-child brand, extending our imaginative world. Gail and Nello draw and play together, viewing the world through the simplest, most innocent eyes. Everything becomes so interesting, everything becomes so memorable. After pursuing further studies in France in 2010, she remained in Paris, working for an advertising agency before becoming a freelance illustrator, graphic, and multimedia designer. Nello, the Junior Designer, was born in Paris in 2014.
