This name is said to come from the fact that the wild ancestors of Nemophila grew in the sunny clearings of forests, appearing as delightful little flowers. The symbolic meanings of Nemophila flowers include "loveliness," "refreshing heart," "success everywhere," and "I forgive you." "Loveliness" and "refreshing heart" are derived from the flower's cute, blue appearance. "Success everywhere" comes from its ability to take root and thrive in various locations.
