KMZ plant, KRASNOGORSK, 1957 ZORKI-S RANGEFINDER CAMERA BODY with M39 LTM LEICA LENS MOUNT ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) A classic Soviet Leica copy - Zorki-S (S means Synchronization). It was introduced in 1955 on the base of Leica equipment at Krasnogorsky Optical and Mechanical Factory (KMZ). Leica and Carl Zeiss equipment were brought to USSR after WW2 as reparation. Zorki-S is almost identical to the original Zorki (Leica II (D) copy), but it adds a flash synch mechanism with the adjustable synch timing advance (from 0 to 25 ms). Also, the shutter speed can be selected before of after the film is wound and the shutter is cocked. Zorki-S body was cast, which made the camera more rigid than its predecessor, Zorki type1. As any Zorki it accepts (and RF couples to) any lens in Leica thread mount. ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT-, WELL-USABLE Presented camera is in nice condition for such age, clean and attractive. I didn't recognized any holes and cracks at curtains of the shutter. Shutter speeds looks appropriate. The RF looks correct. VF is clear and sharp. The covering is mostly complete, cosmetically all looks nice... just examine item's photos to see it, please. All functions are available.
