The backing adhesive is removed, pieces are re-arranged, waterproofed, and filled with cement, showcasing the intricate details and care in craftsmanship. The translucent glazed mosaic tiles add a touch of elegance and vibrancy to everyday home items, enhancing the mood during meal times. Though small, these coasters and trivets were the most iterated-upon items in our development process. After manual arrangement and grouting, the resulting line thickness and regularity will also have minor differences, making each piece one-of-a-kind. 5.
