When we wear crystals, we resonate with their energy, making regular cleansing of your crystals very important. It is recommended to establish a habit of cleansing your crystals regularly, for instance, on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many methods for cleansing crystals; you can find detailed explanations in books and online. While many commonly mention cleansing with saltwater, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be harmed by salt or water, so I personally do not recommend saltwater immersion. If you have clear or amethyst crystal chips, or a geode/cluster, you can place your crystals directly on or within them when not being worn. Of course, the cleansing chips, geodes, and clusters themselves should also be cleansed regularly, perhaps by placing them in sunlight for sun cleansing or moonlight for moon cleansing. So far, I find **smudging** to be the most effective method! You can light palo santo, dried cedar leaves, dried sage leaves, or incense sticks, and **use the smoke for cleansing**.
