ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) MC ZENITAR-M2 is a standard multi-coated (MC) lens with springblend aperture designed for Soviet SLR 35 mm Zenit cameras. It was designed to replace outdated Helios-44 series in 1990s. The lens can be fitted on any M42 Pentax camera with springbled aperture driver. ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT+ The lens looks fine, like accurately used before, optics are very clean, but very minor cleaning marks or pieces of dust inside sometimes can be found. Aperture "jumps" correctly, focusing is smooth. All functions are available. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Focus 50 mm. * Angle of view about 45 degrees. * Relative aperture 1:2.0 (up to 1:22 with 1/2 f-stop clicks). * Springblend aperture with push-up pin which closes the aperture when shutter release button is depressed or the shutter fires. * Aperture has no Auto-Manual switch, it shows installed meaning when aperture pin is depressed. * Mounting M42 x 1mm groove, known as Pentax Thread Mount, same with a lot of old SLR cameras (Zenit, Praktica, Chinon, Yashika, Bessaflex etc). * Mounting for modern SLR, MFT & dSLR cameras will not bring any trouble with most of well-spread M42 adapters. Adapter should have the hook which should hold aperture pin depressed, in other case you'll can not adjust the aperture because it will fully opened all the time. Nikon F mount users will not have infinity focus with simple adapters and M42 optics, close-up shots only will available. * Focusing from 0.35m. * Scale of distances in meters. * Filter mount M 46x0.75mm. * The lens was made in Russia at KMZ plant (the town of Krasnogorsk) in 2003.
