|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"A person nurtures jade for three years, and jade nurtures a person for a lifetime."
Crystals possess a powerful energy field but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, has a warm and gentle nature. While its energy field may not be as strong as that of crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally clean and pure, bringing only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI〔Si2 O6〕, often containing trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Generally contains no impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains more than 2% chromium.
Green: Contains more than 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains elemental iron.
Purple: Contains elemental manganese.
Blue: Basically the same as green, but rarer than other colors.
The trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily distributed in bones and teeth, with calcium also present in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of human life activities, fulfilling important physiological functions at every stage of growth and development, from childhood to adulthood and old age. Calcium is an indispensable element for human health and longevity, a macromineral that the human body cannot lack.
The trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is crucial for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The human body cannot synthesize it independently and must absorb it through natural foods or supplements. For patients with type 2 diabetes, it can increase insulin sensitivity. It benefits obese individuals by helping control cholesterol and blood sugar. Chromium is lost faster in individuals under high stress, making these three groups particularly in need.
The trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an indispensable trace element for the human body. The nickel content in an adult body is about 6-10 mg, mainly found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the human intestine, and unabsorbed nickel is mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
The trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the human body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
The trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a nutrient necessary for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium levels can effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both elements having a complementary effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so a deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can also increase chronic inflammation in the body and is associated with the occurrence of many chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular mortality. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, with relatively high calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, normal blood magnesium levels are associated with a lower risk of atherosclerosis.
The trace element "Iron" (Fe) aids in biochemical reactions by enzymes and helps in metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements" for the human body. An adult typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research reveals that jadeite possesses significant healing properties. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may occasionally experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help treat common chest tightness. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest. Continuous massage can lead to a complete resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have the functions of "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, strengthening the five internal organs, calming the spirit, promoting blood circulation, and improving eyesight and hearing."
Frequently wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordinated balance of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can come into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body, nourishing a woman's skin and making her appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Relief: The cool, soothing nature of jadeite provides a comforting and cooling sensation. In the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei would hold jade in her mouth during summer to relieve heat. Since then, summer has become a season of cool refreshment. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants serve to ward off the summer heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less tangible reason is that when feeling down or stressed, gazing at jadeite can offer an inexplicable sense of emotional healing, as if finding solace.
