**A Special Stool Featuring Japan's Traditional Dye, Persimmon Tannin**
This is a special one-legged stool from DENTO's standard "LISCIO" series, treated with persimmon tannin dye. This traditional Japanese dye is made by fermenting unripe green persimmons. With each use, the color deepens, lending a sophisticated vintage feel. Its unique finish is sure to add an accent to your room.
**Uses Persimmon Tannin Dye from Hiroshima Prefecture, Crafted by 'Onomichi Kakien'**
We use persimmon tannin dye from "Onomichi Kakien," who cultivate persimmons in the mountainous region of Mitsucho, Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Green persimmons, harvested before ripening, are aged for several years to create this dye. Persimmon tannin has been used since ancient times to coat wood for tools and boats, and is known for its antifungal, deodorizing, and antiseptic properties, making it an excellent choice for furniture.
**The Seat and Legs are Separated and Dyed Meticulously, Piece by Piece**
The "LISCIO Stool" features a detachable seat and legs. Each component is carefully dyed by hand after disassembly. The natural dye harmonizes beautifully with the solid wood, ensuring an even finish without missed spots. Furthermore, after dyeing, a urethane coating is applied to the surface, so there's no need to worry about color transfer to clothing.
**Crafted from Oak, a Material That Beautifully Highlights Wood Grain**
We use oak, a wood that is well-suited for persimmon tannin dye and brings out a beautiful wood grain. The texture and the way the grain appears vary from one stool to another, showcasing the unique expression of the wood.
**Serial Number on the Underside of the Seat**
Beyond the individual differences in wood grain, the way the dye adheres creates a unique texture for each stool. We believe this uniqueness holds value, and with that sentiment, we assign a serial number to each piece.
**DENTO's Popular Standard Item, the "LISCIO Stool," Designed for Comfort**
A 3-legged stool made from solid wood. The legs are constructed using joinery techniques found in picture frames, assembled from three directions. Its minimalist beauty and exquisite curves are the product of skilled craftsmanship. The strong construction securely supports the seat, providing a stable and comfortable sitting experience.
**A Smooth Touch That Soothes with Every Use**
After repeated polishing, the surface is treated with natural oil. From the seat to the underside and legs, the finish is a smooth texture that you'll want to touch endlessly. Even while sitting or carrying it, the gentle feel soothes the soul. With regular maintenance, it gains a deeper character through aging, fostering a sense of attachment.
**Stackable for Easy Storage**
Lightweight and easy to handle, this stool is also designed for stackable storage. When not in use, they can be compactly stored together, saving space even in limited areas. We also recommend stacking them with other colors in the same series (Indigo Dye and Persimmon Tannin Iron Mordant).
