Orange Quartz and Amethyst Pendant, crafted with pure copper wire. Dimensions: 80x31x22mm (L x W x D).
While preparing for custom metal wire weaving projects, I noticed a limited number of raw mineral and crystal point pieces in my portfolio. However, I have consistently received custom orders for such mineral types, including pendulums, pendants, and decorative pieces. Many of these were private commissions, so detailed photos were not kept. The raw minerals and crystal points I personally keep are often selected from a collector's perspective, so I tend to leave them in their natural state rather than using them as the primary stone for jewelry. For this collection, I specifically chose several crystal points from my personal collection, each substantial enough to be the centerpiece of a design.
The main stone in this piece is a Tangerine Quartz point. It's the largest one I have. Despite its playful name, Tangerine Quartz is a crystal with a distinct personality. Its orange hue isn't due to inclusions or associated minerals; rather, its surface is covered by iron-bearing minerals, as if the Earth itself plated it with this lovely coat. This concept has always stayed with me, becoming one of the reasons I'm drawn to this type of crystal.
Another reason for choosing Tangerine Quartz as the focal point is how its natural color beautifully complements the pure copper wire. This crystal point has a wonderfully free-spirited shape, utilizing the natural contours of its base as a secure foundation, thus preserving the integrity of its tip. When selecting the accent stones, Amethyst wasn't initially among the options. After reviewing stones like Golden Healer, Black Sunstone, Stichtite, and various garnets, I felt something was still missing. Then, my gaze fell upon the Amethyst in the accent stone box. Not only did it provide a lovely color contrast, but its patterned variations also offered a dynamic effect, ultimately becoming the perfect solution for this piece. The Amethyst, nestled at the center, acts like the heart from which all the flowing curves converge, rooted in the vibrant energy of the crystal point. While the tip of the crystal point may not be a sharp sword, when it rests against your chest, it will forever affirm the secure foundation beneath your feet, a place to call home.
❖ Product photos are mostly taken in natural daylight. Dimensions are Length x Width (x Thickness). Full-length videos are often cropped on Pinkoi; you can find the complete version by searching the brand name on IG for the corresponding post.
❖ Metalwork and silver jewelry pieces do not include a chain by default. For pairings, besides commercially available silver chains, pieces treated with oxidized sterling silver are also recommended with stainless steel chains for better color coordination.
❖ Minor indentations or cutting marks may occur on the wire during the metal wire weaving process due to handling pressure. These typically do not affect the wearability of the piece.
❖ "Artistic Copper Wire" refers to craft wire consisting of copper, plating, and a protective layer. "Red Copper Wire" and "Yellow Copper Wire" denote bare copper wire (without plating). Sterling silver will be specified as 925 or 999 silver.
❖ Natural stones may inherently have inclusions, patterns, or minor chips. Small imperfections may also exist from drilling or polishing.
❖ Packaging is simple by default, including clean anti-collision materials and a shipping bag. A sealed bag for storage will also be provided.
[Artistic Copper Wire Woven Jewelry]
❖ Artistic copper wire is craft wire composed of copper, plating, and a protective layer. With proper use and care, its color can remain stable for several years.
❖ Due to the plating and protective layer, please avoid using silver polishing cloths or toothpaste for cleaning, as this can rapidly wear away the plating.
❖ After wearing, gently wipe off any moisture (especially sweat) with a soft cloth and store it in the provided sealed bag.
❖ Please try to avoid wearing during activities that cause excessive sweating, such as sports, or when soaking in hot springs, as this can accelerate wire wear and potentially damage natural stones.
[Unplated Copper/Silver Wire Woven Jewelry / Metalwork Sterling Silver Jewelry]
❖ Red copper wire, yellow copper wire, and silver wire are all unplated. Natural oxidation is a normal phenomenon, causing them to gradually turn into a bronze/antique silver color. The color change and oxidation speed will vary with wear and individual body chemistry, which is part of the unique character of bare copper wire jewelry. In terms of oxidation speed, red copper wire tends to oxidize faster (possibly turning antique red within days to weeks), while yellow copper and silver oxidize more slowly.
❖ Wire that has undergone a sulfurization (antiquing) treatment will have a more stable color compared to untreated wire. However, polished areas will still naturally oxidize over time.
❖ If you wish to clean oxidized areas, you can generally use a silver polishing cloth or gently brush with toothpaste, then dry with a soft cloth or a cool hair dryer.
❖ After wearing, gently wipe off any moisture with a soft cloth and store in the provided sealed bag.
❖ Please try to avoid wearing during activities that cause excessive sweating, such as sports, or when soaking in hot springs, as this can accelerate wire oxidation and potentially damage natural stones.
❖ Pieces made with unplated wire can be sent back for repolishing at a later date (only the round-trip shipping fee will be charged).
[Natural Stones]
❖ Natural minerals may inherently have inclusions, patterns, chips, or black spots. Small imperfections may also exist from drilling or polishing during processing.
❖ The natural stones used in the jewelry are mostly semi-precious stones. Some stone types may have lower hardness (this will be specifically noted). Please try to avoid contact with polishing or abrasive items like silver polishing cloths or toothpaste when caring for the metal parts of the jewelry, to prevent damage to the natural stones.
❖ Please try to avoid wearing during activities that cause excessive sweating or when soaking in hot springs, as this may damage the natural stones.
