- The fresh morel mushroom's texture is intricate and detailed. Initially, the idea was to express this through embroidery. However, after experimentation, we found that embroidery tightened the fabric too much, making it impossible to achieve the desired fullness. So, we shifted to a hollowed-out design, which unexpectedly brought a unique charm. This approach effectively captures the depth and layered texture of the morel's surface. The base was initially intended to be padded. But we were committed to a two-piece fabric construction, sewn together, to faithfully replicate the natural form of the morel.
