The ancient crystal originates from Afghanistan, dating back approximately 1500 years to the Roman era. It possesses a beautifully smooth, oval shape. While it bears minor scratches, these only add to its charm, evoking a sense of history and affection. (Ancient glazed crystal size: 1.2cm wide, 0.8cm tall) The elongated beads are Roman glass from the Roman Empire period (27 BCE - 395 CE). These are fragments of vessels, polished and drilled to be used in this piece. Their shapes and hues vary slightly from side to side, with a wonderfully worn, aged texture that is truly captivating. As these were originally part of bangles, they have a gentle curve. The blue beads are antique beads known as Indo-Pacific beads, with origins tracing back to the 2nd century BCE. These particular beads are excavated artifacts from Indonesia, dating as far back as the 10th century – over 1000 years old! Their varied sizes and colors make them endlessly fascinating. Round, faceted aquamarine and disc-shaped moss kyanite have been paired together. The small beads and clasp are made of Karen silver.
