Coro was founded in 1901 in New York by Americans Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger. Initially operating under the name "Cohn & Rosenberger," it encompassed several sub-brands such as Jewelcraft and Vendome. The name "Coro" was officially used for the first time in 1943, followed by the launch of the high-end costume jewelry line "Corocraft" in 1948. Throughout the 20th century, Coro evolved with changing fashion trends, and its magnificent designs and high-quality materials captured the attention of collectors and fashion enthusiasts. By the 1970s, Coro's market share began to be divided by other fashion jewelry competitors like Monet, eventually leading to the cessation of production in 1979. The artistry and creativity once showcased by the Coro brand remain a cherished choice for many vintage jewelry aficionados.
