→ Product Introduction Wood firing is one of the most ancient methods of ceramic production, primarily using wood as fuel. It requires four days of firing to reach the target temperature. The ash and oils from the burning wood then become a unique outer layer for each wood-fired piece, known as ash glaze. The artistic value of wood firing is self-evident. The distinctive ash glaze ensures that no two pieces are ever exactly alike, making uniqueness its most revered quality. Consequently, wood-fired creations best reflect the artist's personality and highlight the collector's discerning taste. Wood firing can be broadly categorized into unglazed and glazed firing. Unglazed firing involves firing the clay body directly without any glaze, revealing the most unadorned texture of wood firing. Glazed firing, on the other hand, builds upon the natural ash glaze by adding various glaze effects, resulting in a wide array of artistic expressions. Beyond its artistic merit, the natural carbon deposits during the firing process enhance the flavor of beverages. Wood-fired vessels, whether used for boiling water or enjoying tea, can make the tea taste sweeter and more refreshing.
