What is the origin of your creations?** We primarily use clay from the US, Japan, and Miaoli, Taiwan, for our creations. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565549867_2d00e9c5fb_b.jpg **2. What is the wood-firing process?** Clay from the US, Japan, and Miaoli is mixed in various proportions and meticulously shaped by hand (not on a potter's wheel). After basic forming, the lines of the body are refined, then polished to complete the greenware. Once loaded into the kiln, the pieces undergo a continuous five-day, four-night wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a unique ash glaze; simultaneously, the kiln's flame marks flow between the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire traces. After five days and four nights of ash and flame interplay, the pieces require a week to cool down before achieving their stunning final form! Each piece is truly unique! What should our esteemed guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As each piece is handcrafted, it will bear the natural textures of the making process. Slight variations may also occur during firing, such as slightly uneven rims or minor tool marks, which are considered normal and do not affect usability.
