I like the shape of envelopes.
A rectangular and diagonal interwoven rhythm, a state of keeping a seal in the center.
Based on the shape of such an envelope, I made a card case that can be used a lot and can be used a lot.
□ Material: full vegetable tannin tanned candy color cow Nume leather (JIPAN / made in Tochigi leather)
□ Size: T68 × W102 × D28 mm (Please allow some errors)
□ Leather: It is a leather with moderate thickness and elasticity.
□ Color: Orange Brown with glossy shiny color (gloss is born due to aging or sunburn and changes to deeper shade)
【Simple and large capacity card case】
I made it using high quality candy colored cow Nume leather. It is a large capacity card case.
It is divided into two pockets, you can store the cards separately depending on the application.
Forms familiar with plump hands can be used regardless of gender.
[The original texture of leather is attractive]
I selected this leather made from leather which Japan boasts of "Tochigi leather" as a material.
Tannin tanned leather peculiar tight texture, beautiful surface sensation of light brown is attractive. Gloss and shade will increase enough to wear and aging will go to candy color.
【What you would like to know about the material called Nume leather】
Genuine leather is roughly divided into two: "chrome leather" and "tannin leather".
Today, chrome tanner is the mainstream for most of the market.
Chrome tanned leather is tanned with chemicals.
It has the advantage of being tanned in a short time, being inexpensive, soft and heat resistant.
It is a stable material that is hard to degenerate, in other words "When you finish it is the most beautiful material".
On the other hand, tannin leather is also called "Nume leather" and boasts a strong popularity though it is a minority in the market.
It has been tanned over time taking advantage of the astringent of plants by an ancient production method.
Because it is not suitable for mass production, it is expensive, natural unevenness easily goes out, it is not a stable material, but it is a material that you can enjoy the real pleasure of "leather change with aging".
"It is not perfect when you put it in hand, but it can be said that the attachment increases over time."
"Because you have this leather product, you can enjoy the secular change"
I chose this material from that idea.
【Commitment to Production】
As much as possible by hand.
Even if you say handmade leather goods, how to make it is various.
There are many places where mass production is carried out using a press machine and a punching die when cutting leather.
Cutting with a drafting tool saves the labor of work and the shape is accurate.
However, the work of KALEIDOSCOPE sticks to "making by hand cutting with the leather kitchen knitted by myself as much as possible" from paper making to cutting of leather.
In KALEIDOSCOPE's work, there are many curved designs, but it is necessary to have some kind of skill to successfully cut out.
I would be pleased if you could actually see what "human hand cut out" is.
