These Venetian beads date back to the 19th and 20th centuries. Their distinctive, rich red hue is achieved through a process using gold, making them a rare and treasured "gold ruby whiteheart." (Gold ruby whiteheart bead size: 2-3mm) A slightly larger gold ruby whiteheart bead adorns the clasp. The turquoise blue beads are antique Venetian chevron beads. These feature a unique four-layer construction. The term "chevron" means "chevron" in English (or "rosetta" in Italian), signifying beads often referred to as the "nobility" of beads, holding significant value and meaning. Turquoise blue chevron beads, in particular, are exceptionally rare and sought after. Interspersed are beads of old Orissa brass, ancient and scarce beads originating from the Orissa region of India.
