Plated products will naturally fade over time due to oxidation. The rate of fading depends on individual usage habits and environmental factors. Products that do not fade are typically made of gold or 999 sterling silver. To prolong the life of the plating, store the product in a moisture-proof bag, avoid wearing it while bathing, and minimize contact with water.
