Ghost and Dawn Postcard

#GhostAndDawn I'd like to share the story behind this illustration with you. This artwork tells the tale of a girl's ghost disappearing into the dawn. ⋆ I wonder if anyone feels the same way I do. I've always felt like I'm living like a ghost, drifting aimlessly, as if time has stopped. Whenever moments of self-doubt arise, I particularly love going to the seaside. Listening to the sound of the waves while waiting for the dawn, just me with the vast darkness and silence. It's an agonizing time, but that quietness also allows me to fully embrace my sorrow, until the morning light arrives. Feeling the radiance and the world's most beautiful scenery, I realize that no matter how lonely it may feel, this world remains so beautiful. ⋆ While painting this piece, I had already decided: It's okay to live like a ghost, because ghosts only appear at night. Even though sorrow still visits me in the darkness, I know the dawn will eventually come.
