Indian Motif: Ganesha Series India has many unique deities, and among them, Ganesha, with his elephant head, is truly outstanding! He is a beloved god, born to a playful mother, who loves sweets. He has charming anecdotes, like getting angry at the moon and throwing away his tusk, or winning a race around the world without moving an inch, showing his lazy side. He's a god full of endearing qualities ^ ^ In his gaze is a little mouse. While said to be Ganesha's "mount," we imagined it as a cute, friendly companion, rather than something that would be crushed. The golden lotus flower, with its translucent petals, also adds a lovely touch. ◎ - - - - - A Little Story: "Ganesha with a Heart" I love sweets. I love relaxing. I love being surrounded by things I love. Oh, my stomach is rumbling even as I speak. What sweets should I have today? Hey, little mouse. - - - - - ◎Poytokose and India In Aisho Town, Shiga Prefecture, where our shop is located, many foreign residents work. Among them were Balak, an engineer from India, and Wei from Vietnam. We learned that cotton cultivation has a long history in India, boasting one of the world's top production volumes! Balak wanted to share Indian culture with Japan, and Poytokose creates embroidered goods. In 2023, we began collaborating on product development using Indian cotton. With Balak's help, we connected with an Indian sewing factory. Despite the challenges of communicating in broken English and navigating cultural differences, we persevered! Through repeated discussions via video calls and emails, our Indian cotton items were born. The Indian Cotton series is produced by specially ordering items from an Indian sewing factory and then adding embroidery, one piece at a time, in our Shiga studio. We hope you enjoy the simple texture of Indian cotton, which is both thick and soft, combined with our uniquely amusing embroidery. Materials: Body... Cotton Embroidery... Polyester Size: Approx.
