The Skirt - Blank Gaze
Patterning began in mid-February.
A sample was created.
Initially, the intention was to have a space for sewing small motifs,
so during the creation of this sample,
a border/white fabric was sewn on.
Writing down keywords like "Blank Gaze"
seemed to bring a visual to mind.
An evocative image,
connecting with scenery recently observed.
A palette of similar colors was chosen,
hoping to blend in more seamlessly.
An effort was made to ensure the blank space already had its place.
The details between the waistbands are particularly pleasing,
hoping for more than just an elastic band.
