Began studying jade carving in Taipei in 1988. Studied advertising design in vocational high school from 1993, integrating design concepts into his work. Established his own studio in 1994. Received an honorable mention in the craft category at the 14th Nan Ying Art Exhibition in 2000 for his work "Waiting for the Moment." Participated in a group exhibition of jade and stone at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in August. Invited to participate in the Hualien International Art Festival for live carving demonstrations in the local creation area in 2001. Selected for the "Dream of Craftsmanship" award at the 10th Taiwan Craft Design Competition in 2002. Participated in a jade and stone exhibition at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau in January. Participated in the "Flowers and Trees Carnival" jade and stone exhibition in Changhua County in May. Invited to exhibit in the "Grand View of Stones" exhibition, organized by the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Cultural Foundation and the Hualien County Cultural Affairs Bureau, held in department stores across Northern, Central, and Southern Taiwan from October to December. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute to exhibit his work "Lotus Ecological Scenery" and other pieces in the "Taitung Local Crafts Exhibition" at the Presidential Office in 2003. Featured in the National Education Radio program "Art Corridor - Xie Zhong-ren Jade Carving Exhibition" from March to June 2004. Received an honorable mention at the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition for "Dream of Craftsmanship." Held a solo exhibition at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall from October 2004 to January 2005. Invited by the National Taiwan Museum to exhibit his work "Taiwanese Snacks - Braised Pork Rice" in 2005. Participated in the "Faces of Sherlock Holmes" exhibition at the National Museum of the Czech Republic through an exchange program from June to September. Launched the "Yuning Crafts" brand and opened a counter in department stores. Exhibited as a "Craft Master" at Pacific Sogo Department Store in mid-December. Invited to participate in the "Crafts Within Reach - Applied Crafts for Daily Life Exhibition" organized by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute at the Executive Yuan Gallery in 2007. His work "Japanese-style Sushi" was selected for the "Taiwan Craft Competition" at the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute in 2008. Received an honorable mention in the traditional craft category at the Ministry of Culture and National Taiwan Craft Research Institute's "Taiwan Craft Competition" for his work "Half Thought" in 2012. Also received an honorable mention in the craft category at the 21st Tainan City "Nan Ying Award" for his work "Tranquil Mountain Landscape." Invited to exhibit in the "Gathering of Jade Carving Masters from Both Sides of the Strait" at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in 2013, showcasing his work in the Taiwanese Jade Masters' area. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center to exhibit in the "Gathering Around - Sustainable Craft Exhibition" at the Presidential Office Gallery in 2016, featuring his works "Japanese-style Sushi," "Handmade Mochi," and "A Moment of Leap." His work "Lingering Lotus in Spring" received an honorable mention at the Taoyuan Arts Exhibition in 2017. Held his solo exhibition "Xie Zhong-ren Jade Carving 30 Years: Continuation of Culture" at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in 2018. Invited to exhibit his work "Auspicious Dragon Presents Blessings" in the "Feast · Happiness" exhibition at the Presidential Office Gallery, organized by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center, from January to June 2019. Participated in the joint exhibition "Joyful Heart, Brilliant Art - Boutique Exhibition of the Taiwan Craft Development Association" held at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau from July 29 to August 16, 2020, and at the Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch of the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center from October 6, 2020, to February 28, 2021. His work "Japanese-style Sushi" was exhibited in the "Creative Regeneration: Green Crafts" exhibition hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center from October to November 2021. His work "Handmade Mochi" was selected for the 2021 Taiwan Craft Competition and toured at the Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch of the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center, as well as Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Store and Xinyi Store in Tainan Ximen, and Taichung Store. **Important Notes** ※ Color variations may occur due to different screen displays.
