Because our fabric is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, occasional "weaving flaws" may appear, which can look like minor "frays." These are unavoidable characteristics of using vintage machinery. While we strive to minimize these by thorough inspection at the factory and careful cutting, and by placing them in less visible areas if found, they cannot be entirely eliminated due to the nature of the machinery.
