Legends of Our City

Once upon a time, people gathered around, listening to ancient tales and sharing emotions and knowledge. Then, the collective voice faded, and the crowd transformed into an audience or consumers. This book, along with its namesake storytelling workshop, harnesses the wave of traditional storytelling, guided by Uncle Siu Jai, to empower the public to become storytellers once more. It's an invitation to share the Hong Kong they have experienced and hold dear, weaving narratives of their memories and imaginations. These stories not only piece together a multifaceted portrait of the city but also challenge the conventional, flat, and unidirectional portrayal of urban life.
