**◈ A Word from the Designer**
The Tourmaline family is rich in color, known as the "Rainbow Gemstone," and has been revered since ancient times as "a rainbow fallen to earth."
The designer has carefully selected three colors from the Tourmaline family—Red Tourmaline, Orange Tourmaline, and Yellow Tourmaline. Each gem is meticulously faceted into a water-drop shape, boasting bright colors, a cool and clear luster, and dazzling brilliance. These are intricately woven into a "穗形" (earring tassel) design, evoking the imagery of "autumn maple leaves" and "ripe rice ears."
The earring posts feature an enamel design of a "butterfly," "daisy," and "rhinestones." The overall piece presents a harmonious interplay of red, orange, and yellow, exuding a delicate elegance, romance, and unparalleled splendor.
**Tourmaline**
Tourmaline, also known as the "Rainbow Gemstone" or "Electrum Stone," possesses exceptionally strong energy. Its vibrant, diverse colors and high transparency have made it beloved since antiquity.
Tourmaline's colors are rich and complete, encompassing all seven colors, which is why its energy is believed to correspond to the body's various chakras.
When selecting Tourmaline, one should pay attention to its color and clarity. Most tourmalines exhibit pleochroism (color change depending on viewing angle) and are often co-existing with multiple colors; pure single-color specimens are extremely rare.
**Rhinestone (Glass, Crystal Glass, Crystal)**
Rhinestones have a long history. In the 13th century, exquisite hand-blown glass flourished in Bohemia and the Czech Republic. Rhinestones were initially called Bohemian glass. By 1918, glass was no longer limited to everyday items and began to be used in dazzling jewelry designs, also becoming known as rhinestones.
Unlike ordinary glass, rhinestones are artificial gemstones made from highly refined glass. Different colors are achieved by mixing in various metals, and advancements in crystal cutting and grinding techniques allow for a myriad of shapes and forms, offering a noble appearance without the high cost. This versatility has made them indispensable across various industries. Consequently, terms like "artificial diamond," "artificial crystal glass," and "rhinestone" emerged.
According to the Oxford and Merriam-Webster dictionaries, a rhinestone refers to an artificial diamond with high luster, made from glass, vitrified mixtures, or gem quartz, used in jewelry or to adorn clothing. Therefore, historically renowned glass, internationally recognized Swarovski crystals, general glass crystals, and plastic rhinestones (acrylic or resin materials) are all broadly referred to as rhinestones.
From an artistic perspective, rhinestones are considered high-end crafts, possessing a sparkling, gem-like decorative effect similar to various other types of rhinestones. However, in terms of durability, rhinestones, being made of quartz and precision craftsmanship, have a higher hardness than plastic rhinestones (acrylic or resin) and are less susceptible to degradation from environmental factors such as chemicals (acids, alkalis) and light (UV rays).

**◈ On Usage and Care**
1. Natural gemstones possess their natural luster and unique textures (e.g., small black spots, internal lines, ice cracks, cloudy inclusions, mineral gaps, asymmetry, and other natural details). When worn frequently, you may observe subtle changes in the gemstone's color, often becoming more transparent and captivating, which is the best form of care.
Natural organic gemstones (such as coral and amber) have low hardness and are not resistant to acids and alkalis. When soiled, avoid using detergents; simply rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. You may also gently brush with a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (like baby oil) for nourishment.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan, but avoid external damage or exposure to strong acids and alkalis, which can cause fading.
3. Fabric components (ribbons, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable to the touch and have a long lifespan, but avoid high temperatures, external damage, or exposure to strong acids and alkalis, which can cause fading.
4. For jewelry of any material, when soiled, it is advisable to wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water as appropriate, or use a moderate amount of neutral detergent for suitable materials. After washing, ensure it is dried as quickly as possible.
5. When jewelry is removed, it should be carefully packaged and stored to minimize exposure to excess air and slow down oxidation and discoloration. Avoid stacking or placing heavy objects on it.
