[Usage Precautions]
※ Vases / Decorative Plates / Ornaments
These items are decorated with colorful glazes to enhance their aesthetic appeal and vibrancy. Therefore, they should not be used as tableware.
Decorative plates and ornaments should be placed in a stable, secure location.
When storing (especially items containing gold or silver), gently wipe the surface with a soft cloth to remove any dirt before carefully putting them away.
※ Tableware
Items containing gold or silver must not be heated in a microwave or oven, as this can cause surface discoloration and pose a fire risk.
For thinner teacups and yunomi (tea cups), be mindful of heat as they conduct warmth easily.
Dishes made of mixed materials (e.g., ceramic with metal or glass) are assembled with adhesives. Do not heat them directly on a stove, induction cooktop, or in an oven. Do not place them in a dishwasher.
Earthenware is highly absorbent. Before use, soak it in hot water to allow the material to absorb moisture. This will help prevent the ware from staining or absorbing odors from tea.
Wash as soon as possible after use. Avoid using harsh detergents, abrasive scrubbers, or stiff brushes. Do not use a dishwasher, as this can damage the surface. Use a dedicated kitchen detergent and a soft sponge for cleaning. Dry thoroughly with a kitchen towel before storing.
※ Scratch Warning
The bottom of Kutani ware porcelain is unglazed. Placing it on lacquered floors, plant stands, shelves, or tables may cause scratches. Always use a coaster or a cloth pad.
These pieces are not only worthy of appreciation as works of art, celebrating the artisan's dedication, but also bring joy and beauty to your daily life!
