**|░ Why We Love Jadeite ░|**
"A person nurtures jade for three years, and jade nurtures a person for a lifetime."
Crystals possess powerful energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a type of natural hard jade, is known for its gentle and harmonious properties. While its energy field may not be as intense as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, offering only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been identified within jadeite, with its chemical composition being Sodium Aluminum Silicate—NaAI[Si2O6]. It often contains trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and bivalent iron.
Yellow: Contains elemental iron.
Purple: Contains manganese.
Blue: Generally similar to green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily distributed in bones and teeth, with also present in blood and muscles. Calcium is a crucial regulator of bodily functions, playing vital roles at every stage of life, from childhood to adulthood and old age. It is an indispensable element for maintaining health and longevity, a macromineral that the body cannot lack.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is of considerable importance in maintaining normal physiological functions, helping to prevent cardiovascular diseases, and regulating blood sugar. The human body cannot synthesize it independently, requiring absorption from natural foods or supplements. For individuals with Type 2 diabetes, it can enhance insulin sensitivity. It is beneficial for overweight individuals in managing cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Those under high stress experience faster chromium depletion, making these three groups particularly in need.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. An adult body typically contains about 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, with unabsorbed nickel mostly excreted in feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a necessary nutrient for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium effectively regulates calcium and maintains normal neuromuscular function, with both elements having a synergistic effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation, associated with the onset of many chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular mortality. Studies have shown that people who drink hard water, with relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have lower cardiovascular mortality rates. Therefore, normal blood magnesium levels are associated with a lower risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements" for the human body. An adult body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with sixty to seventy percent distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research indicates that jadeite possesses potent therapeutic capabilities. Long-term wear can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions occasionally experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help alleviate this common symptom. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest. Continuous massage can achieve a complete resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have the effects of "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, tonifying the five organs, calming the spirit, clearing blood vessels, and enhancing sight and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordinated balance of various bodily organ functions.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite accessories, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can come into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite are thus absorbed by the body, nourishing women's skin and making them appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Relief: The cool, icy nature of jadeite offers a therapeutic and cooling sensation. In the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Yang Guifei would place jade in her mouth during the summer for relief from the heat, ushering in cooler summers thereafter. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants were used to combat the summer heat.
The above are substantiated reasons for jadeite's benefits. Another, less substantiated reason, is its inexplicable therapeutic effect on mood when feeling down or stressed, providing a sense of comfort.
