These are SDGs jewelry pieces featuring Kintsugi, upcycled from Arita-yaki porcelain. We reuse broken or chipped ceramics, no longer in use, and re-create them into accessories with the Kintsugi technique. Our concept is to bring the beauty of nature and Japan's enduring traditions closer to you, transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future and foster new possibilities. Delicate fragments of porcelain, subtly revealing a leaf pattern, are paired with three freshwater pearls. The sides of the porcelain pieces are adorned with Kintsugi, allowing the gold to shimmer from the side view, adding a touch of elegance. These pieces are perfect as a statement accent for both casual and elegant ensembles. This work utilizes a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Urushi lacquer derived from the sap of lacquer trees, this method uses adhesive for the primary bonding.
