There's a little story behind why we decided to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just before preparing to fly to Korea for a meeting, a sudden lockdown was announced. Fortunately, it was lifted just before our flight. Upon arriving safely in Korea, we found ourselves unexpectedly trapped in a subway car. Protesters were flooding in, pushing us so tightly that we could barely breathe and couldn't move, almost lifting us off our feet. We kept thinking, "What do we do? Will this turn into a stampede?" We encouraged each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and most importantly, to stand firm and not fall. Thankfully, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station. We were shaken, tears welling up.
A few stops later, as we exited the subway, we stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' lazy and contented postures instantly calmed the turmoil we had just experienced. Those of us who were disoriented and frightened felt as though we had firmly returned to solid ground.
We truly felt, from the bottom of our hearts, how wonderful it is to have cats in this world.
Hyejin's cat creations are such treasures.
And thus, this unexpected collaboration came to be. 🤍

Hyejin’s style combines modern sensibilities with traditional Korean techniques, developed through slow, deliberate creation and hand-painting.
We are deeply fond of the nostalgic, retro feel in her works, which strongly evoke the folk painting scrolls of Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Every stroke meticulously outlines exquisite details, creating artworks that can be appreciated for a long time.
Creating art with traditional Korean crafts requires immense patience. The artist applies delicate layers of color, achieving rich depth and saturated, profound hues.
Even tiny butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with such delicate soul.

Each painting captures moments where cats share our space. The "unhurried pace" and "quiet companionship" that cats embody are the messages the artist wishes to convey.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin draws inspiration primarily from her own cats, depicting them as both mischievous and sharp-eyed, embodying a "fiercely cute" yet distinctive personality. There's a sense of conflict and harmony, a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.
By incorporating contemporary artistic styles and characters, she portrays the lives and thoughts of animals within the framework of traditional art.
She utilizes Korean paper, a material less commonly seen in the market, along with meticulous *gongbi* (fine-line painting) techniques. This paper lends a gentle warmth to the overall palette, while the intricate *gongbi* lines add exquisite detail to the artwork.

This warm feeling, this unique combination, allows contemporary painting styles to blend seamlessly.
