Daphne H.C. Shen is an artist based in the UK, whose greatest joy lies in creation. Amidst a demanding work schedule, she remains devoted to her passion for art and continues to create. Daphne has long struggled with insomnia and finds solace in her art, using it to express the excess thoughts swirling in her mind. Throughout her creative process, she approaches each piece with a spirit of self-challenge, resulting in works that showcase a distinct evolution across her different periods. These evolving styles powerfully convey the collisions, conflicts, and contradictions within her own personality. Finding it difficult to express herself directly, Daphne hopes her artworks can convey her inner state. "Delivery Dune Hallucination" is one of the pieces exhibited at Daphne H.C. Shen's solo exhibition, "Petri Dish," held at the Pier-2 Art Center in Taipei in 2017. This series stems from Daphne's ongoing imagination, inspired by observing the unknown creatures within her mind.
