Kiev 6C medium format SLR Pentacon Six mount with strap Arsenal USSR

Kiev 6C (Киев 6С), Soviet medium format film SLR camera 6x6 cm (120 film format), #7803678, Б mount (Pentacon Six, Exakta 66) "Arsenal" plant, Kiev, USSR Good condition. Shutter works not properly: at any shutter speed chosen, shutter fires at appr. 1/500 sec, "B" works properly. Frame-counter and depth of field preview work properly. Lens and waist-level finder are not included, body only. One take-up spool is included. Body has strong signs of age and use (scratches, dirt, leatherette has partly came unstuck, leatherette is absent on the top of shutter speed knob). History of the camera In 1971-81 plant "Arsenal" (Kiev, USSR) produced a medium format SLR camera "Kiev-6C" (camera was equipped with waist level finder) and "Kiev-6C TTL" (with TTL-prism) in 1978-86. Engineers were inspired with German Pentacon Six, but borrowed only major ideas. Mount Pentacon Six was fully copied and got the name "Б" (read as "B" in English). Release button from the left side which was very uncomfortable for majority of photographers (which are right-handed). In 1984 "Arsenal" introduced new model "Kiev-60" with the release button from the right side. It was equipped with waist level finder. If camera had TTL prism, then it was named "Kiev-60 TTL". Camera looks like usual SLR but it is much bigger and heavier. Body is aluminium cast, with rear cover opening on hinges. Camera uses 120 film format (12 frames) or 220 film format (24 frames). Type is switched by moving the plate on the inner side of rear cover (one of the number is seen - 120 or 220). It is interesting that the next camera "Kiev-60" could not use 220 film format. USSR did not produce 220 film format and this option was useless. Shutter is cocked up with lever, has shutter speeds 1/2-1/1000 seconds and B. Shutter is cloth, moves horizontally. Camera has synchrocontact X for flash. No built-in flash socket. External flash holder is necessary. When using flash 1/30 sec shutter speed is possible or longer. Camera has depth of field preview. Default lens is "Vega-12B" (2.8/90, with single-layered anti-reflection coating). Has jumping diaphragm. 90 mm - is normal, standard focal distance. Of course, all lenses with bayonet Б (the same as Pentacon Six, Exakta 66) fit this camera. Focusing screen has Fresnel lens with opaque circle and microraster. TTL prism Field of view - 49x51.5 mm, waist level finder field of view - 53x53 mm. Camera has 3/8 tripod socket. Camera was very expensive - its price in 1989 was 690 Soviet Roubles for the version without TTL prism (with average salary 120 Soviet Roubles per month).
