Exhibition Catalog - Art of Healing, Healing of Art

From our anthropocentric existence on Earth, we have wholeheartedly protected, nurtured, and explored our bodies, much like treasuring our homes. For us, the body is akin to a sanctuary for the mind. Faced with the body – seemingly familiar yet profoundly unknown, not fully understood – curiosity compels us to continuously strive to comprehend and unveil the mysteries of the human form, while simultaneously driving new breakthroughs in medical expertise. The special exhibition "Art of Healing, Healing of Art" aims to discover and examine the reality of the human body and the relationship between art and medicine through artistic works. Within the "Gallery of Art and Medicine," one can observe the long-standing and close connections between medicine and art worldwide. Works by artists such as Lin Ma-Li, Tsai Ke-Hsin, Niki de Saint Phalle, Aron Demetz, Chi Chia-Hua, Chen Hui-Chiao, Liu Shih-Fen, and Nicolas Stedman guide viewers on a journey of beauty. Through this artistic exploration, let us together glimpse the contributions of art and humanity to medicine, and how medicine inspires human creativity.
