The distinctive leather hinge is a result of our unique, self-researched crafting method. After intricate cutting and molding, each tooth is meticulously shaved down to ensure a perfect interlocking fit – a truly labor-intensive process. The advantages of this hinge extend beyond its unique appearance. It allows the notebook to lie perfectly flat, preventing it from closing unintentionally due to creases. Furthermore, the bending parts are not subjected to extreme stress from opening and closing, which helps prevent premature degradation. The material used is a thick (2mm) vegetable-tanned cowhide, renowned for developing a beautiful patina over time. The smooth, lustrous grain is a hallmark of aniline-finished leather. Bible size is our most popular, offering a particularly wide variety of commercially available refills. The ring diameter is 15mm, making it convenient to use with up to approximately 100 sheets of paper. To ensure you can start using it immediately, we've included 50 sheets of our personal favorite "St-Etienne Costa Rica Memory Fill SBBRF-G-01" 5mm grid paper. We've carefully considered this initial inclusion to be practical for both newcomers and experienced users. We encourage you to customize it into your own unique planner by combining it with a variety of papers, diaries, indexes, and clear pockets available on the market. For maintenance, use a small amount of delicate cream. As this notebook experiences less stress than bags or shoes, the natural oils from your hands are often sufficient. Please be cautious of over-applying leather creams or oils. The metal rings are designed with screws for easy replacement should they ever break.
